A little bit about me

After over three years with our family, our wonderful nanny, Netsanet (Netsi), is sending our children off to school and looking for a new family to care for. You have probably seen her around the SW DC neighborhood with Eli and Sydney in tow, headed off on an adventure. She has worked with my two little ones (currently ages 4 and 3), since my youngest was 6 months old and has watched my nine year old on the many days off from school during the year. She has been incredibly reliable and loving with our children. We have been so impressed with the way that she keeps them busy with daily outings to museums, the library, play dates with other children in the neighborhood, playgrounds and splash parks (weather permitting). She is responsible for the morning routine, cooking and cleaning up after the kids. She sends multiple photos of the kids throughout the day as updates. She is generally very flexible with her time, giving me time to drop off my eldest at school and get to work on time. Netsanet is Ethiopian, in the US with a green card, and she recently got her driver's license. That said, she is more than competent in getting two toddlers and a stroller onto DC buses and metro. With her experience caring for two children, including infants, at the same time, she is also open to a nanny share. She has been a treasure to us, and we are eager to find a good family for her to work with next. Please feel free to write, if you'd like Netsi's contact information.

Best,
Dianna
