A little bit about us…

Looking for a part time nanny to our infant. Our baby boy is about 5 almost 6 months old. Looking for a good fit to our family.

Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays 9-3pm ish. I work from home and will be available throughout the day - I’m also still breastfeeding and want to continue that. We also have a small dog that will be in the home.

Responsibilities are for infant care: diapers, naps, getting outside, etc. household duties may be negotiated but we’re interested in meal prep, light cleaning, and laundry. Maybe an occasional dog walk.

We’re looking forward to finding the right person we feel good becoming part of our family! Thanks!

Hello! We have a happy little boy who will be around 1.5 yrs in Dec and are expecting another baby boy in January. We're looking for a caring nanny who likes to find creative and fun age-appropriate activities to help teach our children about the world around them. Willingness to read to the children, take them to storytime at the library, and spend time outside is a must. We also have a 2 yr old cat, so you should also be comfortable around animals. We value punctuality, flexibility, and friendliness. Must also be open to light housekeeping such as loading / unloading the dishwasher, laundry, dusting, and children's meal-prep. Please let us know if you think you're a great candidate and we'll get in touch!

We are relocating from the UK with our two children, Jacob (18 months old) and Charlotte (2 months old). We are looking for childcare for 2-4 hours a morning, 3-5 days a week. It will mainly involve looking after Jacob but occasionally having Charlotte or both together. There is a dog in the house (Buddy) who is always keen for a walk if there's one going!
Occasional evening babysitting would be desirable but not essential.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Long Beach, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Long Beach, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Long Beach, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
