The most important part about being a nanny...
I think one of the most important parts of being a nanny is being consistent and reliable. Children really thrive when they have a dependable routine, clear expectations, and a nanny they can trust. Being reliable also means parents can count on the nanny to follow through, communicate clearly, and handle responsibilities without having to worry. I think consistency builds trust with both the children and the family. Trust is the foundation of a successful nanny-family relationship.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments with my Beacon Hill nanny children, was going on walks during the fall season. The children were so excited to see all the fall decorations on the outside steps of all the brownstones. We turned these walks into mini math lessons with counting, shapes/sizes, more/less, etc...This was really a fun time of year.
