A little bit about me
I live in Tempe near University and Roosevelt. I'd like to keep my commute under 15 min. My rate starts at 20/hr and increases based on additional children/duties. No payroll.
Most recently, I cared for a precious baby boy from age 3-7 mths (see ref from Maddie).
From Jan-Jul, 2025, I nannied for boy/girl twins starting at 1 yr old (see ref from Stephanie). I still watch them occasionally.
From Apr-Aug, 2024, I cared for twin boys starting at 5 mths old (see ref from Christine).
Beginning Nov 2023, I watched a baby boy from age 3-7 mths. I was asked back after doing the same for their first son in 2021 (see ref from Suzanne).
From Feb 2020 to Aug 2023, I nannied for a 3 yr old girl and 1 yr old boy. The family had another girl in Nov 2021, so I watched all 3 kids until they moved out of state (see ref from Kristin).

A little bit about me
In my previous roles, I assisted children with daily routines, prepared healthy meals, helped with homework, and organized creative and educational activities. I also transported them safely to school and extracurricular activities, encouraged reading in English and Spanish, and supported routines that build independence.
Families describe me as responsible, patient, and caring, with great attention to detail. I have excellent references that I can share, and all are available to contact.
I would love the opportunity to bring my experience and enthusiasm to your family.
Thank you for your time and consideration!

A little bit about me
I’ve recently moved to Tempe, Az from Alexandria, VA. I am seeking a position as a nanny or babysitter. I am the oldest for 3 and love to care for children! I’ve been babysitting since middle school. I’ve been a nanny for 3 different families. One as an Au Pair experience in Europe! I've worked primarily with young ages 3-16, but I love kids of all ages. If it's nice out, I like to take the kids outside, but if not, a movie and some snacks or an interactive game! In my free time, I love hiking, reading and cooking. Whether it's organizing, cleaning, helping with meals, keeping kids busy, etc. I can do to it all!
For a nanny position I am looking for a Monday-Friday schedule with occasional weekends.
For a babysitting position, I am pretty flexible on the days and time!
* 7+ years of experience in babysitting.
* 3+ years of experience in nannying
* CPR and First Aid certified
* Pet friendly 🙂

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Tempe, AZ
Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.
From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Tempe can impact how much you pay your babysitter.
Tempe Babysitter Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a babysitter?
- What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Arizona?
- Do you have a Arizona driver’s license? Do you own a car?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!
And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
