A little bit about us
We’re a warm, low-key family looking for a loving, experienced nanny for our baby son, born this fall. We’d like him to grow up hearing Spanish since one of us grew up speaking it, so we’re looking for a fluent Spanish speaker who will speak Spanish with him all day. Conversational English is enough for talking with us (and one of us is fluent in Spanish).
Start: anytime between now and early January
Schedule: Monday–Friday, about 9am to 6pm. We’re open to part-time ~25 hrs/week through February 2027, moving to full-time in March.
Pay: $26–$30/hour depending on experience, with overtime at 1.5x for hours over 40
Benefits: paid federal holidays, 2 weeks paid vacation, DC paid sick leave, DC paid family leave coverage
Health benefits: $350 monthly stipend
Duties: caring for our son (feeding and bottles, naps, diapering, play, walks and outings), plus his laundry and keeping his things tidy. No general housecleaning.
Requirements: at least 5 years of childcare experience, including infants, with references we can call; infant CPR/First Aid; must be authorized to work in the U.S. This is a W-2 position with taxes paid and a written DC work agreement.
