A little bit about us
We have four daughters: an infant, a toddler and two school-age girls. During most of the day, the nanny will primarily care for our infant and toddler while the older girls are at school. There will also be limited after-school time and occasional school holidays or closures when all four children are home.
Childcare Responsibilities
* Provide attentive, loving and developmentally appropriate care.
* Follow established feeding, nap and daily routines.
* Pick up our toddler from preschool and occasionally assist with transportation for the older children.
* Prepare bottles, meals and snacks for the children.
* Plan engaging activities, including reading, imaginative play, crafts, outdoor time and local outings.
* Help the children practice kindness, responsibility and age-appropriate independence.
* Provide care for all four children during occasional school closures and scheduled days off.
* Communicate openly with us about the children’s days, needs and progress.
Household Responsibilities
This position will also include reasonable household support during naps and other available periods, including:
* Children’s and family laundry, including properly caring for school uniforms.
* Loading and unloading the dishwasher.
* Keeping the kitchen, play areas and children’s bedrooms tidy and organized.
* Cleaning up after meals, activities and daily play.
* Light meal preparation.
* Changing children’s bedding as needed.
* Restocking diapers, wipes and other children’s supplies.
* Helping the children put away their belongings and participate in age-appropriate chores.
* Other light household tasks that help the home run smoothly.
