A little bit about us
We parent with the Hunt, Gather, Parent book. We don't say "good job." We do say words of encouragement and use more direct forms of recognition. If the kiddos are doing their thing, we don't interrupt even with recognition unless there is a serious reason. We relate good behavior and bad behavior to being a big kid or a baby. And it works really well. We try not to compliment them too much so they don't become praise junkies. If you have any questions about our methods, I can send you articles explaining our methods and if you become a long-time caregiver for my kiddos, I can and will likely buy you the book we use to parent.
I would really appreciate help keeping my house clean, as well. We try to involve the kiddos in the cleaning but we don't push it. We would just like some help watching and caring for our kiddos 2 days a week. My husband will be there while you watch my kiddos. He may leave for an hour or have you watch them at a local park so he can get space but he will be there most of the time. We are asking for help because my husband and I are on the spectrum, and the little things can become overwhelming.
When you start, it will likely only be 1 to 2 days per week.
We are all vaccinated and I would prefer anyone coming into our home to be vaccinated as well.
Thank you and have a nice day.
