A little bit about us

My wife and I are looking for someone to take care of our 3-month-old boy for a 2-3 hour period in the morning [phone number hidden]/week. My wife and I are both in the medical field so our schedules vary during the week, however, our schedules are set a month in advance to allow for planning ahead.
We would need someone who is able to be at our house at 0600 when we leave for work and care for the baby until he wakes up and then drive the baby to my parents house 30 minutes away in order to allow for the baby to have uninterrupted sleep.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
Thank you

A little bit about us

Hi! We’re looking for someone that could take care of our 1.5 y/o daughter at the grandparents house. During weekdays, you would have to pick her up at their house, drop her off at the daycare (which is 25-30min away from their house. Per diem for gas will be provided) before 9am and then pick her up by 5pm and get her to sleep by 8pm. Once she falls asleep, you can go home. Total hours per day are 4-6. During the weekends, she would stay at the grandparents house and you would be asked to help with caring for her for 8 hours (from 10am to 6:00pm).

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Orlando. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions , it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.

How to Interview for a Nanny Job in Orlando, FL

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here is a list of some nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What do you think children like best about you?
  • What kind of activities will you do with children this age?
  • How do you handle problems that arise behaviorally and emotionally with kids this age?

Beyond answering questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative.
