A little bit about us

Single mother of one smart little boy. I am starting a new job that has me working in Portland within the hours of 3:30pm-9pm. I’m looking for someone who can be with my son at home and take care of his night routine until I return on weeknights.
Responsibilities might include;

Picking him up from preschool, which is up a few blocks away from our home.

Making dinner.

Light house cleaning.

Play with him.

Getting him ready for bed.

He is 4 and can have the typical bouts of energy but has always been well behaved (especially for others)! He doesn’t like getting in trouble, he gets pretty embarrassed, so he can be self aware or even shy at times. Once warmed up he’s a talker. We also have 2 sweet cats.

A little bit about us

Our baby is due in December and I’m looking for a nanny to start care in May when I go back to work. I work from home so it would be someone to come here and hang with her on my busiest work days that are super meeting heavy (2-3 days a week to start and as she grows and we get more comfortable could then turn in to full time).

The position has the possibility to turn in to more hours as she gets older and as I get back in to the busy season. Plus if it’s a great fit we would want to partner with our nanny more for family outings or staying on long term.

We have two small dogs and a cat, so must be okay with animals. We also have a park right outside which is super cute and inviting so when she gets older you could go enjoy the nice weather.

A little bit about us

Vivienne loves going outside on walks! She is eager to learn new things and I would love to find someone to be with her one on one instead of daycare. I also can’t afford daycare but really need childcare at least ~14 hours a week. Monday through Friday (any two days that work for you, work for me). 10am-5pm. She still naps once a day around 1:30pm. She is still breastfeeding, but I can pump to supply breastmilk for nap time. We have a fat house cat, Thomas who keeps to himself (friendly) and may only need to fed once in the middle of the day.

A little bit about us

I need someone to care for my toddler from 5pm Thursdays through Saturday at noon. This includes two overnights. For $350 per week. 16+hours will be sleeping. Meal prep and light cleanup will be needed. I prefer someone with toddler experience and I’d prefer someone vaccinate, naturally immune or very cautious with covid precautions.

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Vancouver. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions , it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.
