We’re looking for a loving, reliable, and experienced part-time caregiver for our sweet 2-month-old baby girl, who loves to eat and play!
📍 Location: Oakton, VA
🗓️ Dates: Immediate start through the third week of December 2026. This is a temporary position before our daughter begins daycare in January.
⏰ Schedule: Ideally 9:30 AM–3:30 PM Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (18 hours/week, with potential for up to 20). We can swap one of those days for Thursday if preferred.
👶🏼 Responsibilities:
Feeding pre-prepared bottles and burping
Age-appropriate supervised play (play mat, tummy time, bouncer, reading, etc.)
Helping baby settle for naps and following safe sleep practices
Light baby-related cleanup (bottles and play areas). No additional housekeeping responsibilities are desired.
🏡 Our family: My husband and I work hybrid schedules, so we’ll frequently be home or nearby for backup if needed. We also have one friendly cat!
📝 Requirements:
Prior hands-on experience caring for infants under 6 months
Infant First Aid/CPR certification
Up to date on vaccinations, notably TDAP and flu
Familiarity with infant safe sleep guidelines
Own reliable transportation to Oakton
Non-smoker
Strong references from previous families
Willingness to complete a background check (paid for by us)
Comfortable with cats
💰 Compensation: $25–30/hour depending on experience and references.
💕 We’re hoping to find someone warm, attentive, dependable, and genuinely enthusiastic about caring for young infants!
