A little bit about us…

Nanny would work 5-6 days averaging 6-8 hrs per day.

We would like someone to help with the baby and toddler for the most part. The older kids can be instructed and they pretty much take care of themselves.

We would like someone that could pickup and drop off kids at camps or school when necessary. Also someone that can help get kids lunch or dinner.

We would like someone that can have flexible hours and would be willing to work on weekends when events come up or for business dinners during the week.

Tripp is the baby 8 weeks old today. Avielle is the youngest girl at 15 months old. Palin is our big girl at 7 years old and she’s very smart. She attends Merrol Hyde Magnet School and loves playing sports. She also loves to help around the house and play with her little sister. Ethan is our 12 hr old boy and he’s an over achiever. He wants to please everyone and he strives for recognition. He will help with anything we ask him to do and he is so polite . Colin is our oldest at 14. He loves basketball and playing with his friends. He needs some direction but is capable of doing so much to help with the younger kids.

A little bit about us…

Hello, I am looking for a nanny/sitter for my two toddlers, Serayah 4 yo and Elijah 2 yo. I will be starting my job on the 11th of November, this job requires long hours and swing shifts so unfortunately I won’t be able to be present as often nor be capable of doing both jobs, work and home. Serayah goes to Headstart M-F 8- 1:30pm, drop off and pick up is a must. I’m not absolutely certain about what all kinda hours I will be working yet so I can’t really give any more information on what hours I will need for but once I know, you will know. Also at the moment I am technically homeless, we are living with my father brother and his daughter, which none are 100% capable of being able to handle or manage this position. I will be on the lookout for a place of my own once I’m able to lay down a payment for one. This will be my first time working in almost 4 years also my first time away from my children like this so I will be looking for someone who can be very understanding, patient, compassionate and most importantly loving but also available whenever needed. My children are very attached to me, being I am a single mother and have been all they know day in and day out. There father pops in and out whenever he is able and wants to, he is also not capable of being the sole caretaker for our children. He does not live near or with us, we are separated. This is a big step for me, in a long term aspect to better my children's but also my life and future too. We have been through a rough time the last year or two so this opportunity isn’t one I could really pass up. I reside in Hardin County, Tennessee. I will do my best to meet any criteria’s or requirements that are appropriate and reasonable.

Types of Nanny Jobs and Nanny Responsibilities in Tennessee

Before you start looking for a nanny job, it's essential to learn about the different types of nannies and how they compare to each other so that you make sure you’re looking for the right opportunities.

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to make sure your expectations are aligned with the family.

There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Tennessee. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions, it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.

If you're exploring other types of jobs beyond nanny positions, consider looking into cleaning jobs, pet sitting jobs, luxury fashion jobs, or elder care jobs.
