The most important part about being a nanny...
Developing a loving and safe relationship with a family and their children. It is important that there is chemistry in the home amongst everyone or the environment will be off. Open communication, trust, routine and boundaries.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked at an inclusive preschool for infants and toddlers with unique needs (autism, cerebral palsy, ABA therapy, IEPs, behavior management, deaf/hard of hearing, etc...I was also a student mentor and paraprofessional for elementary students.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite memory was the picnic in the park we had before my family moved to Texas. Unfortunately because of school at the time when I was getting my degree, I could not go with them.
