A little bit about us…

Hello!

We have a 5 year old daughter, a 3 year old son, and a 1.5 year old daughter. Our oldest daughter has special needs. I just need a side kick to help me out with various chores/housework/watching the kids/travel/laundry/dishes/playtime/therapies throughout the day!

(Maybe a random weekend night for a couple hours so I can have a date night with my husband!)

We have had a helper for two years but her college courses turn full time in August. I’m making this post now in hopes that we can find the right fit for our family by then.

My goal is to make sure everyone has what they need when they need it, therefore, we need help making sure all of the ‘extra stuff’ also gets done in the process. Being home with my kids is what I love to do but I want to make sure I'm still getting the quality time with them that we all need. My goal is to try and have more one on one time with each of them.

My husband works full time as a farmer - his schedule is wild so we are looking for someone to be long term help for our family. We would need roughly 20-30 hours a week starting mid August, however, the training process can start in the beginning of August so our current nanny can help train. We are willing to work with you as long as it works out with the needs of our family.
Thank you!

Before you start looking for a nanny job, it's essential to learn about the different types of nannies and how they compare to each other so that you make sure you’re looking for the right opportunities.

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to make sure your expectations are aligned with the family.

There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Illinois. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions, it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.

If you're exploring other types of jobs beyond nanny positions, consider looking into cleaning jobs, pet sitting jobs, luxury fashion jobs, or elder care jobs.
