I am fun, energetic, and fun and patient. I have cared for each of my siblings. My moms second pregnancy, being my middle brother didn’t go so well so she was unable to lift and carry him for about a year so I learned how to clean up the major “messes” and overall how to take charge and independently care for his needs at a very young age. I am currently an assistant manager but I have wanted to work with children since I can remember so now I am looking to transition into caring for children full time so I can get that professional experience. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

It is fall season so perfect time to maybe paint some pumpkins, find a corn maze, or even put together a haunted ginger bread house together! (Yes it’s a thing I got three boxes from target!)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Patience is the most important thing to have. You need patience to be able to sit down and have talks about their big emotions, you need patience to handle their big emotions and learn that yelling isn’t the first thing to do in a situation a child is throwing a temper tantrum or screaming over a toy, patience and taking a deep breath and then handling the problem is the best thing to do.

My experience with special needs children...

My mother works with an agency who works with special needs children and I would come to work with her on summers and help her take care of them and once I got older and the parents knew me of course and agreed to it, my mom would let me be their number one caretaker just to show me how her day looks, I honestly loved working with them they are so smart and people ignore their creative minds immediately after they find out they are special needs. When really they might be smarter than all of us if given the chance to prove themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My moms friend has a little boy who is three and has a problem with keeping his tongue inside his mouth making is hard to speak and one day I was watching him and we were playing with shapes and I asked him what the circle was and he held his mouth together and tried his hardest to pronounce circle properly and that’s when I realized, he can 100% talk, he just needs someone to be patient with him and he needs someone who will believe he can do it too. He started speech therapy a few weeks later after I showed the mother my new founding and I loved being apart of that moment for him and being able to see that part of him really really trying.
