Looking for a Live-in nanny for 4 months with the possibility to extend. Our current live-in nanny is stuck abroad due to visa issues.

Responsibilities are to care for our 20 month old toddler and newborn (though i will be on maternity leave).

Expectation is days only, and overnight infant care will not be expected. We also have a small dog that enjoys going on walks with our toddler so you must be comfortable with pets.

You will be expected to plan activities such as going to the park, museums, playdates as well as prepping food for toddler and doing light cleaning/laundry associated with our children. Our son will also be starting speech therapy soon and will need you to take him there.

Hours are roughly 7:30-6:30 M-F but a bit flexible.

A little bit about us…

We have just moved back to New York from Australia. Our baby has the most relaxed temperament ever and feeds and sleeps like a champ, our toddler is hilarious a chatterbox, loves art, singing and dancing (is at school every morning). We love to spend time outdoors learning about the world, doing classes, at the park, and museums.

I work in the fashion industry so work is sporadic/ part time for me. I can be flexible on days and hours I am not working if that works for the nanny. Or we can stick to a general schedule adding in extra hours or swapping a day when I am working.
Ideally 12-7 x4 days during week; 9-9 Saturday
(Again this is flexible anytime I’m not working and can be discussed and workshopped)

My husband works late and we have the mornings together so ideally I love help late morning to bedtime. Our past nanny loved that she could have mornings to herself, and we can also fill four longer days with an extra day off. We often didn’t get to full time so she loved it! (Sadly she had to move out of state for husbands relocation.)

We have also been using babysitters for some evenings throughout the week/weekend so if you need extra hours this is available to you.

This could be evening hours so we can enjoy a date night, or even overnight if I am travelling or have a late event. Otherwise cars will be covered home.

Occasionally I may have travel for work so would need earlier starts or potential to stay if husband is away. If a nanny is interested in travel it may be a consideration to join of suitable, or ability to be the children’s comfort at home whilst I’m away.

A lot of the hours will be one child at a time as I have my toddler in school, and I love one on one time with each babe.

We are so excited to find a nanny who aligns with our values and can care for them as we would and become part of the family, work alongside me and ease us into our new life.

We can’t wait to meet you!
