Hello, how are you ? I hope you are having a good day. My name is Maya. Im 28. Working with so many american army families and many of their kids I can't tell you about all of them but I can give you more references if you would like. I would stay with a family that has 3 kids 2 amazing boys aged 3 and 7 and their beautiful 6 year old sister. I would cook for them some of their meals and help them study or do their homework. After that we would each read a book and then watch a kids movie together or play. The boys love to play with their toys cars and trucks and pretending to be cowboys or soldiers. The 7 year old loves Legos it's his favorite and building things he was always making something I believe he will have a very good future in building in the future. The 3 year old loved to play with his boat and toy animals and playing with the dog and his favorite show was always thomas and friends rrailway he would always want to watch it he is very precious. The 6 year old girl would love to play with her doll toys and we would play together with clothes and hair accessories and doing crafts she loves it.ASometimes we would also play card board games and puzzles we played many games and had so much fun together. But that was only because they were very good studying and doing their homework. I always made sure they study and finish homework first everyday. Another family I worked for had 2 kids a 1 year old boy and a 9 year old girl. I would take care of the boy he was still learning to talk I would help feed him and change his diapers and he would watch his favorite show pocoyo and help him take naps he was very precious too.And his 9 year old sister was very smart girl she loves to read and she would always tell me about what she's reading and all the stories she reads about in her books I loved spending time with them and taking care of them. These are just 2 families I worked for out of many. I have been working as a babysitter-nanny for almost one year for many american army families here in seoul south korea and I loved all the kids I was with we had a very good time together and their parents still contact me sometimes with the kids. Williford.lillian is one of my references you can contact her and ask her anything about me. Im an honest trustworthy reliable caring and responsible nanny. I believe in the children they are our future the next generation. What we do with them today affects who they are in their future as they become adults. I never drink or smoke and I never curse. I can make sure the children are well taken care of full time and make sure they have all their meals and sleep on time and help them study if necessary. I can also take good care of any pets in the household (cats, dogs, other) as I have done so with families here. I can make sure they are fed on time and walk them outside and anything els needed. I loved working here is South Korea it was a great experience and I look forward to working in many other countries. Angelwing00aoutlook

I'm a nanny because I love being an additional positive influence in a child's life. As they say, it takes a village to raise a child and I'm happy to be another source of support. It's important to me to have fun with children as well as encourage manners, teach kindness, etc.

I have a passion for caring for children. I've been babysitting/nannying for about 7 years now. I've taken care of children from 0-12+. Years of babysitting has taught me to be more loving, nurturing, professional, educated, a better communicator, honest, respectful, and safety-conscious. I'm a college student at LACC, soon to be at Northridge, and, currently pursuing a degree in film. I work part time online editing podcasts for a few clients and doing some social media management because I really like that space and want to learn as much as I can.. I love to be outside and like taking child(ren) on daily walks, weather permitting. I like playing games, doing arts & crafts, watching movies, swimming, etc! Naturally I have a very calm, and understanding demeanor which is definitely an advantage to me in working with children because I feel very comfortable during tantrums, handling arguments, fights, etc.. I truly enjoy spending time with children and watching them grow. Being able to be another support system in a child's life is so rewarding. I still stay in touch with many of the children I took care of years ago because this is more than just a job for me. I am Trustline Certified as well as CPR/First Aid Certified.

I think it's very important to have fun, but I also believe in staying active! I love to be outside and will take your child(ren) on daily walks, weather permitting. I love sports (I played soccer and volleyball throughout my life). I really enjoy bike rides, swimming (I was on the swim team for about 4 years so I'm a very able swimmer you can trust), and all sorts of fun outdoor games (such as tag, hide and seek, etc.) I have loved doing arts and crafts since I was a kid and I'm always in for some coloring/scrapbooking/painting/etc. We can visit local museums, libraries, parks, etc.

I have been a sitter for most of my life and I started off at a very early age. Recently, I was a student aid at an elementary school and I worked with students in kindergarten, first, and third grade. I helped teachers out with their day to day responsibilities, prepared class worksheets, organized, and assisted students (with classwork, homework, reading, visits to the nurse,etc..). I also worked for my university's payroll department. As payroll student aid, I have developed strong organizational skills.
For example, one of my main duties was to prepare maintain the file system for the payroll manager. There were three main categories that I maintained which were student employees, adjuncts, and full-time employees (which contained three categories of professors) at the University of Mary Washington. These employees were considered as active employees. From there I sorted out documents from job offers to federal paperwork and placed them in the correct order in folders. I have maintained incoming paperwork from new employees to reoccurring employees as well as updating the files with updated paperwork.
Aside from filing active employees, my supervisors gave me access to the employee database which kept track of both active and inactive employees. I was able to go through the database and pull out inactive employees. Letters were written explaining either the resignation or termination of employees including the last date that employees would work. Once these letters were printed, I organized all the paper work from files and attached the letters and transferred those files over to the terminated files. Terminated files were alphabetically organized according to last name and then first name. I had also organized position offers for the Spring 2018 semester in my short time at the Payroll Office.

I am someone who is polite and down to earth. I am a hard worker and I am also very dedicated to my jobs.

From a young age I have always had an interest and desire to work with children but I was unsure exactly what that would look like.
While completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology I was able to take courses in child development and was immediately intrigued by how children develop from embryo to adolescence. This sparked a passion for child development and I began my work in a kindergarten classroom where the focus was play based and the children were their own leaders or mini teachers. From here, I started to work with older children more specifically one little boy with Autism. We worked together one on one for a year through modification of academic, emotional and social aspects within the classroom setting.
Outside of the education system I found myself caring for a 6- month old and had the wonderful opportunity to watch her grow not only physically but socially and emotionally as well until 2 years old. From here I had the opportunity to nanny for 4 months as a live-in in Los Angeles, California, caring for a family of two children aged 15 months and 3 years old.
Child care aside I find myself happiest when I am helping others. I am a compassionate and loyal person who values integrity and honesty to the utmost. I believe in my strengths as a childcare professional but am always open to new learning and different perspectives.
I am looking to join a family and become apart of your household.

What are some common responsibilities for nannies in Los Angeles, CA?

As a parent, it’s natural for you to ask your nanny for a little extra help around the house. However, the boundaries for a nannies duties vary from person to person. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met. This includes things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active, that they have a healthy diet and a sanitary home. When tasks go beyond child care, for example scrubbing kitchen counters, folding laundry, gathering groceries, or teaching a language, you will likely need to provide additional compensation.

How can I ensure I have a great relationship with my nanny?

To start, it’s important you set expectations and are aligned on compensation from day one. This includes outlining vacation days, a protocol for sick days, and everything else you would want your own employer to cover. From here, spend time getting to know them. Take your nanny out one of Los Angeles’s great restaurants, learn about their childhood, and discuss your parenting philosophy. Finally, be sure to resolve conflicts as they arise. Open communication is crucial to ensuring a healthy long-term relationship.
