A little bit about me…
I am looking to start with a family ASAP 4 days per week. Ideally, I’m looking for a family that needs care Monday-Thursday [phone number hidden].
I have over 8 years of childcare experience and close to 5 years of nearly full-time nanny experience. I have worked as a paraprofessional in a moderate-severe elementary special education classroom and an mod-severe classroom at an adult transition school. My nanny experience includes a family of 8 children (4 with special needs and foster children in and out of the home). I have my B.S. in Speech Language Pathology and am attending school part-time, fully online for my Masters in SLP. I would be happy to send my full resume or provide references to anyone interested!
My rate starts at $30/hr and am open to a nanny share. I’m located on the border of Vista and Oceanside, but have my own transportation and am willing to travel for the right family!

A little bit about me…
I provide caring childcare and can also assist with light household chores like meal prep and tidying up to keep your home.
I prioritize communication with parents and provide regular updates on their child's day, either verbally at pickup or through text or phone calls, whichever method they prefer. My educational background includes some college coursework, and I have completed both First Aid and CPR training.

A little bit about me…
I have approximately 8 years of experience working with children from the ages of 3 to 12. I was a Program Director for an after school program. I enjoy doing XSTREAM activities and cooking meals. I love working with children because not only am I able to teach them how to do things, but I also learn from the children that I work with. I am currently now a case manager and continue to help families in need!

A little bit about me…
I began babysitting as soon as I was legally allowed, and began nannying at 16 when I switched over to a homeschooling program.
I have experience working with children of all ages and find joy in each stage!
It's important to me to be interactive with them and create a safe, loving, and fun environment when they are in my care.
I believe positive reinforcement is the most effective form of communication. Also with consistent, clear, and predictable discipline to help create healthy boundaries and development.
My relationship with the parents is also extremely important so I can be integrated into the family and know I am helping raise their children in a way that they want. Making every one comfortable and safe is my goal.

A little bit about me…
I’ve worked professionally in early childcare for a total of 8 years. I started my career as a lead preschool teacher & building supervisor, and then moved into nannying after 3 1/2 years of teaching. I worked with two families in a nanny share for a little over 2 years, from infancy to toddler age prior to the children transitioning into a center. I maintain a close relationship with the two families, and hope to establish a similar relationship with more families down the road. I have since worked in a 2’s program, but aim to transition back into nannying.
I have 20 total college credit units in Early Childhood development as well.
About me:
I’m easy going, caring, gentle in spirit but firm in boundaries, creative, and quick to adapt to whatever needs for the children arise. I’m experienced in multi family care, engage in continual learning and development for myself, and lead with compassion as the foundation to my teaching & child rearing practices.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Oceanside, CA
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Oceanside Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Oceanside? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Oceanside?
- Do you have a driver’s license in CA? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
