More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have previously worked as a private nanny for two families with 2-3 children and as a recurring in-home childcare provider for over ten. I was a preschool teaching assistant and children's swim instructor for over four years. My time as a pediatric therapy clinical intern in physical, occupational, and grief support settings furthered my developmental knowledge and scope of education.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

As an active individuals myself, I love any activity that gets children up and and moving. Obstacle courses, outdoor games, and scavenger hunts have all been adaptable crowd favorites. I love using my therapy and educational background to craft developmentally appropriate sensory activities, process art, and other engaging experiences.

My experience with special needs children...

In my previous role as a children’s swim instructor, I led an adaptive program that provided swimming lessons to children ages 3-12 with a wide range of needs. Further experience interning at a pediatric physical and occupational therapy clinic allowed me to support interventions targeting social/emotional regulation, and motor-strengthening, and sensory-processing for newborns to teenagers.

Jayda P. - Seeking Work in Indianapolis

Live-In Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Indianapolis, IN: Jayda P.

I'm someone who spends a lot of time noticing things that others might overlook. I enjoy thinking about experiences, emotions, and the meaning behind everyday moments. I'm curious by nature and often find myself asking questions not just about how things work, but about how they feel and what they mean to people.

I value authenticity, kindness, and understanding. I like learning about myself and others, and I'm always interested in different perspectives. While I can be reflective and introspective, I also appreciate simple moments that bring a sense of wonder, peace, or connection.

I'm still growing and figuring things out, but that's part of what makes life interesting. I believe that every experience teaches something, and I try to approach the world with an open mind and a willingness to learn.
