Hi Families! My name is Amani. I am genuinely thrilled to be your child’s partner in adventure, laughter, and growth! I have 5 years experience working with infants/children: 2 years as a nanny/babysitter, 2 years as a live-in house parent, and 1 year as an Early Intervention Specialist.

Caring for little ones isn’t just a job for me—it’s a calling that I am deeply passionate about. I have a BS in Psychology and consider myself an educational explorer. I have experience working as a live-in house parent for Childfirst Services with children in a residential group home setting. I also have experience as a nanny/babysitter for friends, family and private families.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy arts and crafts, if interested I’d love to teach crocheting. I enjoy cooking and baking (although I am very new to baking but I hope to master this one day!) as well as trying new foods and making delicious smoothies. I enjoy playing board games, indoor camping and taking nature walks. Overall, I enjoy making memories and crafting experiences!

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important aspect of being a nanny is fostering a nurturing and supportive environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. Building strong bonds based on trust, respect, and empathy is fundamental. I believe in the power of positive influence, and I cherish the opportunity to shape and mold children into good people. Being able to guide them through life’s challenges, celebrate their successes, and instill values such as kindness, empathy, and integrity is incredibly rewarding. I am dedicated to being a positive role model and mentor, inspiring children to reach their full potential and become the best versions of themselves.

My experience with special needs children...

I have professional experience working with children who have been medically diagnosed and are on prescribed medication, as well as children diagnosed with Autism, Waardenburg syndrome, and infants who have used NG tubes.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments have to be teaching little ones new words and watching them grasp onto new concepts and ideas. Helping my older kids overcome obstacles and fears, whether it's mastering a difficult skill or facing a daunting challenge, brings me joy. Watching the children in my care grow and develop with my assistance is very rewarding!
