Activities I enjoy doing with children...
This list is endless to be honest. I had the luxury of living close to the ocean so I would take children to the shore. On rainy days there was a plethora of childrens activities at my fingertips, from trampoline parks, to bouncy houses to children's petting farms, indoor playgrounds (and outdoor), swimming pool memberships, parks, arts and craft. I am very involved when it comes to children so I am only interested in employment that eventually affords me the opportunity to take children on outings. NO pressure. I know these things take time. But it keeps children happy and the nanny also feels a sense of contentment, knowing that the children in her care are having fun and doing stuff.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Listen, being a parent is the most important job, but the most important part about being a nanny is loving those children and keeping them safe. You are there to not just do a job well, but to actually CARE. That care eventually turns to love and showing them what love is through your actions.
I'm not trying to sound cliche'. It just happens to be true. At least that has been my experience.

My experience with special needs children...
I have life long experience as I have a special need sister. I have worked in her school (she's adult now). The age I worked with was middles school. I works as a one-on-one aid with a child who has CP (cerebral Palsy) as well as autistic. I worked during the school year and occasionally in summer programs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I wasn't actually there, but I came in to work one day and the childrens' father said to me, "We were asking the children which day of the week is your favorite? "A" says, "Friday because it's the last day of school", "M" says, "Saturday because there's no school at all". "C" replies, Wednesday. When asked why, her response, "Because that's the day Annie comes!" I'm "Annie"
I'm Annie
The father continued:
"I was talking about you at work and one of my coworkers said to me, when you find a good nanny you NEVER let her go. We're so happy we have you." (when you check my references feel free to ask this).
Lastly, my last nanny job was the most memorable and I said I would never nanny again. These three little girls were have my heart. I still miss them so much and it's been five years this March 6. I watched them grow and learn and imitate and go from cooing to crawling to speaking to schooling. I never had children; they are part of me
I love children. I know my worth thanks to them.
