The most relevant childcare experience I have is working as an RBT for children with Autism. I worked as an RBT for 5 months and truly loved providing one-on-one care and promoting patients development. Following this, I have a years experience volunteering at a children's hospital in their Child Life department. I also have volunteered at GSMYC for a total of 4 months. Additionally, I have 8 months experience being an assistant teacher for infant, toddler, and pre-school classrooms.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing activities that are child-led and inspired. I love being outdoors with children, playing tag, running, etc. Inside, I enjoy engaging in pretend play with children because it allows me to see their perception of social roles and the world.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Providing a safe, nurturing, and warm environment that will promote a child's development. I also find it important to remind myself and others that each child is different. They are all developing and learning at different milestones. Therefore, it is important to get to know them, and create activities based off topics that they are interested in or show a curiosity about.

I have cared for children who have Autism. However, this care was professionally done in clinic. But I do feel confident that I will successfully be able to care for children with special needs beyond the professional role I had.
