The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel truly seen and cared for. When kids feel secure, they’re able to learn, explore, and grow with confidence. Building that trust—through patience, consistency, and genuine connection—is at the heart of everything I do.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with a variety of special needs and supporting them with patience, understanding, and consistency. I’m comfortable adapting routines, communication styles, and activities to meet each child’s individual needs. I have worked with children who benefit from extra support in areas such as sensory regulation, social skills, communication, fine and gross motor development, and learning differences. I use positive reinforcement, gentle guidance, and a calm, steady approach to help every child feel safe, confident, and successful.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was watching a child I cared for finally master a skill we had been practicing together for weeks. The look of pride on their face—and the big hug that followed—reminded me why I love this work so much. Seeing children grow, gain confidence, and celebrate their own accomplishments is always the best part of my job.
