Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked for a divorced guy part-time while going to school. I was a nanny for a toddler but I cleaned the house, ran errands, did laundry, mowed the lawn, fed chickens, took him to appointments, and cooked. Basically, anything a Mother would have done.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing outside! Anything to get outdoors!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I don't believe in just babysitting or watching a kid, like showing up and just making sure they are alive while going about my day. To me a nanny is more than just showing up and watching kids. I like to teach them something, and focus all my attention on them, do activities with them, and in my spare time help the family out as much as possible with cleaning and such so that when they get home they can focus on family time and other things and not have to worry about cleaning and such.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The little man I used to nanny loved Hunting and fishing. So we would set up his "buck deer" stuffed animal in his room and close the door and then we would start at the front of the house and belly crawl all over "hunting" for this deer and whispering just like we were really hunting.

I also told him how a man should act and so he would tell me every day "a man should be strong, honest, and kind." Melted my heart!
