More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes babysitting for multiple families, working at two daycares with children of all ages, and participating in the Kanawha County Schools Third Base program. Through these experiences, I supported daily routines, supervised play, assisted with meals, and helped create a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for each child.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some indoor and outdoor activities I enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts, reading books, imaginative play, and simple learning games indoors. I also enjoy outdoor play, going for walks, sidewalk chalk, and encouraging active play. On occasion, I like to include movie days with fun, age-appropriate movies as a way for kids to relax and enjoy some downtime.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building trust and creating a safe, loving, and fun environment where children feel supported and valued. It’s about being there for them, understanding their needs, and helping them grow while making everyday moments positive and memorable. I also want you as parents to feel comfortable knowing your child will be in good hands while you are gone.
My experience with special needs children...
I do have a few years of special needs help with children. As I was one of the sole babysitters for a child who had autism and don’t talk at the time; I have also worked with multiple children in the daycares and doing field hours at elementary schools for WVUP.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I ran into a 5-year-old I cared for at a restaurant with his parents. As soon as he saw me, he ran over, gave me a big hug, and chose to sit with me the entire time instead of his mom and dad. It was such a special moment that showed the trust and bond we had built, and it really reminded me how meaningful this work is to me.
