A little bit about me

Hello!
I’m a college-educated individual with several years of experience working with children. Most recently, I served as a Program Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital, where I supported a program focused on preventing mental illness in young children through early intervention.

I truly value and cherish every child I work with, and I bring warmth, reliability, and a deep sense of care to every family I support. I would love the opportunity to speak with you more about how I can be a positive addition to your family.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile!

Hillary
"Carine has been an absolutely wonderful addition to our family! From the very beginning, she built a strong and loving bond with our 4-year-old daughter, who was always genuinely excited to spend time with her. Whether they were going on walks with our two dogs, reading books together, or playing imaginative games, Carine brought warmth, creativity, and joy to every moment. She is incredibly patient, kind, and thoughtful—always meeting our daughter where she was emotionally and developmentally. Carine is also very communicative and proactive, keeping us informed and always willing to lend helpful insights. Her punctuality and professionalism gave us complete peace of mind, and her gentle, nurturing energy made her a true gem in our daughter’s life. We can’t recommend Carine enough. Any family would be lucky to have her as part of their caregiving team. Don’t hesitate—she’s truly one of a kind!"

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I currently nanny for a family in Boston on weekends, a role I’ve held for over three years. In addition to this long-term position, I’ve gained valuable experience caring for children through volunteer work at elementary schools and various previous nanny and babysitting jobs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I truly enjoy being active with children, as I’m an active person myself. I love cycling, hiking, visiting playgrounds, and engaging in any activity that keeps kids moving and having fun.

Creativity is also a big part of my approach—I enjoy working on art projects and encouraging children to express themselves through creative activities. I also love cooking with kids and see it as both a fun and valuable life skill to share.

In addition to childcare, I work as a tutor and genuinely enjoy supporting young children with academic subjects they may find challenging in school.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is being a consistent, positive role model that a child can look up to and trust. Children notice everything, and the way we speak to them, support them, and treat others becomes part of the example we set.

For me, that means showing unconditional kindness, treating children with respect regardless of their age, and creating a space where they feel seen and heard. I believe in helping children process their emotions, validating their feelings, and encouraging their independence while guiding them with care.

Whether it's helping a shy child build confidence or supporting a child with special needs, I see each moment as an opportunity to help them grow into confident, compassionate individuals.

My experience with special needs children...

I currently nanny for a child on weekends who has ADHD and learning disabilities. He is a joy to work with and has taught me a great deal about how to be a supportive and understanding caregiver.

In the past, I’ve also cared for a child with a rare chromosome disorder called IDIC15. While this was a new experience for me, it was incredibly valuable and helped me grow in my ability to adapt to each child’s unique needs.

Additionally, I regularly care for a young family member on the autism spectrum, which has further deepened my understanding of how to provide patient, individualized care.

These experiences have made me confident and comfortable working with children of all abilities, and I approach each child with empathy, flexibility, and a commitment to their well-being.

The most important part about being a nanny...

This is a tough question to answer because I’ve had so many special moments as a nanny. But one that really stands out was helping a shy, reserved child find the confidence to make new friends.

When I first started working with him, he was very anxious about meeting other kids and often needed encouragement. Over time, through our time together, I watched him grow—he slowly opened up, developed more confidence, and began approaching other children on his own.

One day, he turned to me and said, “Thank you for helping me be more outgoing and fun.” That simple moment truly touched my heart. It reminded me of how meaningful this work is, and I hope to continue helping children grow into their best, most confident selves.
