Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…I am 25 and I've been working with children for the last 10 years.
I've worked at 3 daycares with children from the ages of 6 weeks to 11 years old including twin babies.
And 2 after school programs with children ranging from 5 years old to 13 years old.
I nannied for a set of twins as well as cared for 6 infants solo for 6-8 hours at a time consistently as a daycare teacher.
Recently I’ve worked with students from 13-18 in PR. I’ve helped them gain independence in their everyday lives from self-care, setting boundaries, and positive decision making.
Activities I enjoy doing with children…I have been working mostly with infant - 2 year olds recently and doing fun activities with them throughout the day.
i.e. sensory, gross motor, fine motor, cognitive development, as well as language development and more
The most important part about being a nanny…Is to make your day run a little bit smoother with my help. To be organized, planned, and a great multitasker. As well as a very timely person and understand structure. But to balance that with flexibility fun and showing the children that you do care about them.
My experience with special needs children…In the time I've been working with children I have learned how to work with children who have a mental/physical disorders or have other needs by learning the child and what works best for them because each child is different.
My favorite nanny moment…When the children I invest in come to greet me when I walk into their home because they missed me.
