Hi! My name is Donnamarie! I have worked with children for over 10 years, including foster children & youth at risk. I have experience babysitting, nannying, daycare, coaching, and some teaching. I am CPR/AED/First Aid Certified for Adult, Child, & Infant, as well as a Certified Shallow Pool Lifeguard. I have experience caring for children anywhere from newborns to high school age. I’d love to get the chance to help your family out! I have a dog who absolutely adores kids and is incredibly smart, and am extremely comfortable with pets (I grew up with quite the variety!). I’m an active person, and I love being outdoors! I’ve lived in different places around the USA and have been fortunate enough to travel the world with my family.. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was an after school program PE teacher, a YFL Cheer Coach, worked in an in-home daycare (ages newborn to 12 y.o.) for a year in CA before moving to TX, nannied/babysat for years for private families, supervised children at a class for foster parents, have mentored youth at risk. I was an infant teacher at a Christian Childcare Center for ages 12-17 month olds.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’m an outdoors gal, and I played sports growing up, so I like sharing my passion for the outdoors, horses, and sports with children! I enjoy fishing, swimming, intertubing down rivers, and watching movies with a cup of hot cocoa or coffee on a cold day, or roasting s’mores over a bonfire on those hot summer nights! If it’s snowing outside, I’ll bundle up and head outside to build a snowman and have a good ole-fashioned snowball fight with friends and family. Maybe even do some toboggin riding! :) I care for every child with the same care and love as if they were my own, and nothing less, as I would expect the same if I were in your shoes. The families I’ve babysit for in the past became dear friends over time. I enjoy getting to know the families I babysit for, and being here as a support and a friend.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe it is recognizing what an important role you play in the lives of children. There is much, MUCH more to it than that, but the first thing is to recognize your role as a nanny, caring for other peoples’ most precious gifts - their children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Probably one of my very favorite memories from being a nanny/babysitter is when two children I babysat one summer in California and I all were watching one of their favorite tv shows and we all fell asleep while watching it, after having come inside from playing and swimming in the hot sun. When I woke up, the kids had cleaned the house to surprise me with big smiles on their faces! Such a blessing!
