I am a certified teacher in a daycare setting working with infants and toddlers as well as preschool and school age.I also had an internship in college where I worked with families as well as directly with children and learned to be able to spot a child’s needs and how to help them in their own personal growth and development. I am very aware that every child is different and I am able to adapt based on each child’s needs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing hands on activities with children such as arts and crafts, as well as educational activities. I also grew up as an athlete and was a two sport collegiate athlete, so I would love to keep children active based on age and safety, this can range from going on walks, playing outside, introducing them to a new age appropriate hobby. I think it is really important for child to develop independent play skills as well as social skills. I also prioritize playing outside and using imagination rather than screen time.

The most important part about being a nanny to me is communication with the family as a whole to figure out what is and what isn’t working for their child. If the child is old enough to speak for themselves I would love to hear their feedback to make sure they are comfortable in expressing their feelings with me.
