A little bit about me

A little more about me—outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, cooking, traveling, learning new things, and any excuse to be at the beach. I grew up in a family of five in a rural area with very limited internet, so a lot of my childhood was spent outside exploring, staying active, and making our own fun. I have a fun, energetic personality, but I'm also dependable and responsible. My time at BYU and serving in the military has taught me the importance of being reliable, organized, and calm under pressure. I genuinely enjoy building relationships with kids, staying engaged with them, and creating a positive, safe environment where they can have fun and thrive.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 3 years of nannying experience, including caring for multiple families and working regular 12-hour shifts.

I volunteered in Romania through the International Language Program, where I cared for six children with special needs in their home. This experience strengthened my patience, creativity, and ability to provide individualized care.

I'm currently working as an in-home CNA, caring for patients with a wide range of medical and personal needs. My job has given me extensive experience with caregiving, meal preparation, housekeeping, personal care, and staying calm in high-responsibility situations.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids of all ages and love being an active, engaged nanny rather than just supervising. Whether we're building forts, playing outside, doing crafts, reading books, baking treats, or creating scavenger hunts with younger kids, or putting on fashion shows, playing board or card games, having dance parties, or working on homework with older kids, I love finding activities that match each child's personality and interests. My goal is always to create a fun, safe, and encouraging environment where kids feel cared for, supported, and excited to spend time together.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My top priority is always keeping the children safe while creating an environment where they can have fun and be themselves. I'm attentive, responsible, and always aware of what's going on, but I also believe kids deserve a nanny who truly engages with them. I love getting involved in their games, encouraging their creativity, and making sure they feel seen, included, and supported rather than simply supervised.

My experience with special needs children...

One of the most meaningful childcare experiences I've had was volunteering in Romania through the International Language Program, where I cared for six children with a wide range of special needs in their home. Some of the children used wheelchairs or had physical disabilities, while others had emotional, developmental, or behavioral challenges that required extra patience, flexibility, and individualized attention. I assisted with daily routines, meals, playtime, outings, and personal care while adapting activities to each child's abilities and needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite parts of nannying is walking through the door and being greeted by excited kids. I love building relationships where they feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely excited to spend time together. Whether we're laughing over something silly, playing games, or just talking about their day, seeing them smile and have fun is one of the most rewarding parts of the job.
