Hello! I am looking for a summer nannying position after being a nanny for 3+ years in Boise, Idaho. I am a full-time undergrad student majoring in psychology with the end goal of being a LCPC. I'm a proud big sister to my six siblings and have always loved caring for children. I have a deep passion for Montessori learning and teaching emotional regulation and life skills from an early age.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've had three other nannying positions and got the opportunity to watch two of those children transition into elementary school. I taught a homeschool music class for children aged 3-7 where they learned about rhythm and instruments. I also love to spend time with my siblings (ages 10weeks-18years).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to go outside, especially to take a walk or draw with chalk. I also enjoy playing the guitar with the children I nanny (I recently learned how to play the Bluey theme song). One of my favorite activities is assisting older children in safely preparing food, especially chocolate chip cookies!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is understanding the child's needs and adjusting appropriately. My goal is always to help them be themselves in a safe and loving environment

My experience with special needs children...

My littlest brother (6 yrs) has cerebral palsy and I have learned a lot about caring for special needs children through my parents. My mom has cerebral palsy as well and I have learned how to help her with her disability. A few of my siblings have ADHD and neurodiversity and I've been really grateful to be able to spend a lot of time with them!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was taking a three year old who loved to climb furniture to a rock climbing gym for the first time. I taught her how to safely boulder because the traditional climbing gear made her feel trapped. She wasn't interested in any of the easy climbs, just one V8 (difficult) route... Because it was pink. It was a really beautiful experience to be able to help her regulate her desire to climb in a safe environment and see her improve over time.
