I have worked in school setting with pre-k students, elementary students and big kids! I taught S.T.E.M lessons with a company called Kodely. And have interned at a development center for toddlers 3-5.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Crafting activities have to do with chemistry-hencing chemical reactions and how to turn it into art and I love being outside playing sports. Or sensory activities to stimulate their minds and brains. My most favorite thing is to dance to 80's music. Also I love cooking and baking so I love teaching kids how to be partially independent!!

▪︎ Is probably when I worked at the development center and the one kid told me.."Ms. Estrella, I like that you're nice to me". It made me wonder who wasn't so kind to this gentle, and sweet kid who was only curious. He wasn't a bad child he just had a lot of curiosity and energy and most kids do! So we would do wiggles together like the jumping bean!
▪︎ In in an elementary school where a kid told me they felt like I was the only person in the world that understands him and learning is hard for him. I made me tear up later that day because I understand and- I too was that kid. Made me feel like I was able to lift his self-esteem and confidence.
