Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a teachers assistant at my high school for two years. I volunteered at my local library for three years and did crafting activities, tutoring, and book readings. I also volunteered at a deaf streetlight fair for two years and got to do relatively the same activities I did at the library with the deaf community, but mostly kids.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love crafting, drawing/painting, creating/teaching music if that’s what they enjoy. I also love to encourage cooking together to learn something new and to experience the accomplishment and nourishment of creation. I am challenged when it comes to sports, but I do not let that stop me from spending lots of time outdoors attempting to catch a ball. As much as I love keeping busy, I also appreciate the chill days of just watching a movie and doing a simple puzzle.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is their future. In their childhoods, it is the responsibility of the adults in their life to create moments that will impact the course of not only their, but all of our futures. They are the future generation of our world, and they deserve to be raised with kindness and patience to set them up for the best success.

My experience with special needs children...

I took three years of American Sign Language in high school, and with that coursework we were encouraged to volunteer at deaf community events. I learned a great deal at these events about not only the deaf community but also about children with special needs.
