More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked in multiple settings such as a gym facility, in-house/overnight work, and on site after school teaching! I believe working in multiple environments has given me the best knowledge on how to work with children and setting-specific scenarios.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

The activities are endless with me, from indoor being such as painting, clay making, fort building or cooking, to outdoor activities such as hiking, roller skating, bike riding and imaginary adventures!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part is understanding that you are becoming a part of these children’s everyday lives. Everything we say and do leaves some sort of impact on children because their brains are sponges! I think it is also important to be the best version of yourself for this reason, you have to create a safe space for the kids to have fun and want to be themselves.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children on the spectrum and some children being in mobilized chairs. My special needs child-work is not as advanced as I would like it to be.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment nannying would have to be the car rides, because these created memories before and after the memories too! By either taking them to school or out for special days like ice cream or swimming, showing them things they have always wanted to see, I was able to become closer with the 3 girls I watched. I showed them music I listened to growing up, and years after watching them they still listen to the songs I played. Some of the best talks came from those car rides too!
