A little bit about me

I have worked over the past 8+ years with multiple ages of kids. I am going to school for elementary education & early childhood development, as I love both the job & working with younger ages. They keep things fun & exciting! I have had jobs ranging from nannying to daycare work as well as being a sub & TA in school systems, so I have had up to twelve younger children in a classroom at a time with one-two other supporting adults & classrooms on my own. My daycare experience was with infants up to about nine/ten months old as well as a 1 y/o room. I have experience with newborn infants as well. I also have experience in K-8th grade classrooms, even being in a fifth-grade classroom for three months in a long-term position, so I am also comfortable with older children!

I am looking for a position that will either let me bring my infant son along or allow a schedule to bring him to daycare!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a nanny, daycare worker, and substitute teacher for grades K-8th. I subbed for a year in many different grades/positions, my longest being two weeks in second grade and three months in fifth grade. I have been a babysitter/nanny since I was 15 years old (about 7 years), and I have watch infants and children from newborn up.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities with children. I believe they learn best in an environment they are comfortable with, so I am easily able to adapt to that. I love taking walks and being outdoors on adventures, but I also enjoy indoor activities such as board and card games and crafts.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Helping children grow into the people they are meant to be. I love being able to help them explore their personalities and watch them grow.

My experience with special needs children...

I have not personally cared for a special needs child on my own, but I have a little experience through school systems. I would be open to learning more about providing the needs and having fun with a child with special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was a weekday nanny for a baby girl starting at two months old, and although I don't have a specific moment, I loved watching her grow into a happy, loving baby.
