Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was briefly an EMT for a few months but decided to take a break as I was dealing with personal matters. Although during that time, I cared for many children and was told by several of my colleagues that I did very well with helping them feel comfortable and making them laugh. Other experience includes unofficial babysitting for old neighbors and friends several times.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Love to put together puzzles, legos, crafts, coloring, as it strengthens their fine motor skills, but they’re also just super fun and entertaining! On the cold rainy days, they love to have PJ movie nights, play board games, or bake some cookies!
Outdoor activities might include playing games/sports in the yard, going on walks/bike rides, going to the park.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Treating the children with the love and respect they deserve. I believe it is extremely important to have a good balance of building a bond with the children, and being there for them as someone they can find a friend in, but also modeling responsible behaviors and be a teacher to them, both intellectually and interpersonally.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve been working with a child with special needs for around 6 months so far. My duties include helping with changing, basic grooming, mobility, exercises/stretches, attending and driving to and from doctors’s appointments, occasional restroom assistance, as well as supervising and assisting with their homeschooling. Lastly, simply being there for them, not only as a provider but also as a friend to lean on! :)
The most important part about being a nanny...
Was when we finished a Star Wars millennium falcon lego set after several months, and seeing the pure happiness on their face as the product started coming together, as well at the end when we finally finished building it together!
