One of my favorite moments with children in my care, was when one of my First Grade students had a difficult time being away from his mom. I asked his mom to send in something he could keep with him, that would help him to feel close to her while he was at school. His mom sent in one of her T-Shirts, which made a significant and positive difference. He went from being sad each day to thriving in the classroom. It is one of my most favorite memories.
