More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 10 years of experience caring for children, including my time at Orangewood Christian School, where I worked closely with students in both academic and supportive roles, fostering their growth in a nurturing, faith-based environment. I’ve also worked as a nanny for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, providing attentive care such as feeding, diapering, managing nap schedules, and leading engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.

I am Orton-Gillingham certified, allowing me to support early literacy through structured, multi-sensory techniques tailored to each child’s unique learning needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities I enjoy doing with children include cooking and baking simple recipes together, gardening and exploring nature, creating fun crafts, and playing sports to keep active. I also love reading with children and supporting their developmental milestones through age-appropriate learning and play. Most of all, I enjoy laughing and creating joyful moments that help build strong, trusting relationships.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting, nurturing relationship with both the child and the family. Children thrive when they feel safe, loved, and supported, and as a nanny, I take that responsibility to heart. Beyond daily care, I focus on helping children grow emotionally, socially, and developmentally, while also maintaining open and respectful communication with parents to ensure consistency and support at home. Being a positive, dependable presence in a child’s life is truly the heart of the role.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs includes working as a teaching assistant in a kindergarten classroom, where I supported a child with Autism by using individualized strategies to promote communication, social skills, and classroom participation. I also have experience working with children with learning disabilities, helping them stay engaged through adapted instruction, visual aids, and multi-sensory learning techniques. I worked closely with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive, supportive environment where each child could thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when the toddler I cared for took their first steps while I was with them. We had been practicing standing and balancing for weeks, so seeing their face light up with pride—and being able to cheer them on in that moment—was incredibly special. It reminded me how meaningful it is to be part of a child’s early development and to celebrate those little milestones that mean so much.
