A little bit about me

I am a mature and exceptional childcare professional that will keep your child happy, learning, and safe. I have worked with children in the Church setting for decades and since 2018 decided to work in childcare professionally, I have my National Preschool Child Development Associates certification as well as my Newborn Care Specialist certificate. I have over 200 hours of college and state training and have worked with more than 200 children in the past 6 years. This is not a temporary job for me, this is my career. I have always had a passion for caring and educating the next generation. I have had a live-in position with 2 girls and still communicate with the family 20 years later. I have worked in a classroom of 18 four year olds by my self teaching and playing with them. I understand age development and will work with each child at there level, including "tummy time" with infants to dress-up with preschoolers or outdoor activities with school age children. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like learning what they like on their development level, but I have danced, sang, colored, crafts, bicycles, swimming, camping, playgrounds, cooking, oil changes, and everything educational for them. I've done all of these things with them to help them with learning and self esteem. I enjoy helping them with chores and teaching them beneficial ways to complete them as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is the opportunity to work with children more on a quality environment and not quantity environment like a daycare. I have worked with many children at a time in a child care facility and have not been able to teach every child in the way or method they needed because of the companies need to make money.

My experience with special needs children...

Is compiled with infant Torticollis, acid reflux, allergies, etc I am a newborn care specialist, VPK teacher, and working on my ITDS. I also have some training in Autism Spectrum and have used my training to work with ADHD, Bi-Polar, RAD and many other children with over stimulating emotions and behaviors.
