Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I regularly volunteer with the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation that supports all ranges of ages that have this genetic disorder. I have also been babysitting from the age of 11 for family and as I got older, more members of my community and even some that were disabled.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love learning new games and playing with the kids favorite toys or activities. When the weather is nice I love to be outside and play soccer or fun made-up games! I enjoy board or card games when we're inside and finding out about the hobbies of the children I babysit.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a younger sister who is special needs and have from that met a lot of families that I have aided on a regular basis. I know conversational ASL and am pretty familiar with a lot of the medical needs of these individuals - and can be quick to learn and adapt!
