Being a good example. Consistency, care, and being structured, but not rigid. Kids need some freedom to explore and discover, balanced with predictability, stability, and trust.
My experience with special needs children...
My son has some very mild sensory/autism attributes, and I learned to support him by understanding how he sees the world, limiting sensory overload, routines, and patience. I believe all people are special just how they are made. I do not have professional training or experience with moderate to strong levels of interventional needs.
