More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked in a church childcare facility where I cared for children ranging from 4 months to 12 yrs old.
From there I started my first part time nanny job where I spent my days with a 9 month old. I was with that family up until their sons 1st birthday where he was then finally accepted into the daycare they had had him on the waitlist for.
I then started at a Montessori in Kansas City as an assistant toddler teacher (ages 12 months to 2.5 yrs). I later moved into the position on lead toddler teacher and fully fell in love with teaching little ones.
I then decided to move to Harrisburg where I started at a local daycare as the lead toddler teacher (this time ages 2-3). I was responsible for introducing kiddos who showed signs of being ready to potty training.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m a firm believer that kids should get as much fresh air as they possibly can, weather permitting of course. I love prompting kids to learn from nature, wether that be colors, shapes, or numbers.
I also enjoy organizing different crafts for kids to do and letting them unleash their inner picasso’s.
I believe setting aside at least 15 minutes a day for reading is super important for the developing mind. Reading to children can help them learn essential language skills that they’ll need once they start school.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Creating a safe space for kids, both physically and mentally.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Seeing the kiddo start to take his first steps and the sound of his sweet giggle every time he would lose his balance
