My biggest experience in childcare was from [phone number hidden] almost 6 years I nannied for 3 children! I developed so many skills throughout those years working with the kids at all different ages and stages. Loved every moment of it!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I like to be really hands on with the kids. Story time, arts and crafts, outside play (love to get them outside whenever I can!). lemonade stands, puzzles, legos.. You name it!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My philosophy on being a nanny has always been that it’s really my job to create a safe space for them where they can also have fun with me. I believe I should be their friend, but I also know I am to protect them and that means they need to know I’m in charge. I like to create a nice balance of those two ideas. But most of all, it’s creating that safe, loving, fun space for them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have family members who are special needs so I have experience as a young person with that. I also babysat for an autistic boy for a little while. I’m very comfortable with all different kinds of children. Every child is special.
The most important part about being a nanny...
This one is so difficult!! The boys who I nannied for for 6 years was honestly the best time in my life. It was such a wonderful experience for me. I’m still very close to them to this day. It would be so hard to choose only one moment! I also nanny for my nephew currently, and that has been more personal and so much fun!
