The most important part to me about being a nanny is being someone the children can depend on and have fun with. As a child I loved my babysitters all the time because they were always have fun with me but they would also help me with my homework when my parent would be working all the time.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for 3 special needs children in my career. My cousin was one of them and he struggled with communicating playing with kids his age. I took him to group session and worked with him at home on how to handle situations.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my old children I used to nanny for was as his parents said “in love with me” and little 3 year old it was so cute. One day he came home and it was a movie night so he went to the store to get the snacks with his dad before i got there. He surprised me with my favorite movie snacks and bought me a ring pop. it was the cutest thing ever. To this day I still go over and he’s about to be 6 soon and he always has my favorite snacks for movie night for me.
