Of course kids have their favorite toys, but if I could choose I’d pick arts & crafts. It’s therapeutic and fun, it also gives them a chance to be creative.
I like to avoid TV and electronic time as much as possible so any activity outdoors is a good option too. Depending on their age & abilities you can do a range of activities.

is the connection you have with the kids. I love working with kids and the energy they bring in my life. Caring for them and loving on them comes easy.
My experience with special needs children...
is very minimal. The only experience I have is from a daycare I worked at that cared for a young girl with special needs. However, we got along great and she was very welcoming to me. I was able to help her get comfortable when her mother left.
The most important part about being a nanny...
was when the kids I use to babysit, before they moved, would call me aunt Megan. It melted my heart!
