Hi there! My name is Mikaila. I'm 23 years old and moved back to Colorado this past winter after living out of state for school and volleyball. I love kids and have been around them my whole life. This past summer I was the supervisor for the Oak Creek summer camp. So I have lots of experience with ages 5-13 years old. However, I previously specialized in caring for infants, with having an internship in the NICU. With any age I like to incorporate education into fun games. I'm here to make the learning fun! I've been an athlete my whole life so any chance I can play with the kids outside and get everyone active is always something I'll try to do. Since the cold doesn't always allow us to be outside, I love playing games inside that can also be education in some way or at least stimulate the brain. Learning is fun!

It's important to not only make the child comfortable but the parents as well. I'm there to help in multiple ways. I'm there to help the child grow to their full potential while having a fun time. I'm also there to help the parents. It's important the parents feel at ease and know they're in good hands.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was a nanny for my coach's baby from the day he was born to about the time he was 2.5yrs old. My coach and my teammates all called me by my nickname "Mik". When the baby was learning to talk, he knew about 3-5 words and hearing one of his first words was "Mik" made my heart so happy. There is something about knowing you are important to a sweet little boy and hearing his little voice say your name for the first time that is just indescribable!
