I’m a nanny because
I have always loved children, love taking care of them, love spending time with them, everything! I have done it all my life and feel 100 % comfortable doing it. I've had such a wide variety of characters I never get bored of getting to know another child as well as being able to be a positive influence on them.
My past childcare experience
I am the oldest girl of six children so I have a lot of babysitting experience! My dad also has eight children in his family ( eight Aunts and Uncles) who each have no less than about five children! Therefore, I've done lots of babysitting for all of my cousins too. I was a nanny for a newborn baby (about 3-4 mnths) for a summer when I was a teenager.
I also was a nanny for two children for a summer when I was a teenager. A boy,7, who is autistic and also a little girl who was 4.
In the summer of 2010 I was a live in nanny for a family in Spain. I looked after two little boys- 4 and 8 - My job included taking the boys to and from school which was more frequent living in Spain because they would come home for 'siesta' everyday in which they would eat lunch which I would prepare for them. I would then take them back to school and pick them up a few hours later where we would then go to their activities ( I would make sure they were prepared for that and pack a snack) activities included swimming lessons, soccer lessons, guitar lessons and others. When the boys were out of school for the summer I would give them English lessons, play games- basically had to keep them busy and have fun! When we would come home for the night, we would all eat dinner together which I prepared sometimes if the mother and/or father was not home, give them baths, read to them and tuck them in goodnight!
