I have a 5-year-old that I do not trust anyone but her with, he has been diagnosed with autism and doesn't speak well so I am very very picky I don't even let family members watch him and he absolutely loves her. She has taught him a lot of things and is always buying him stuff, also she is strict on him but has allowed him to grow on his own pace. I could not ask for a better babysitter or nanny."

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

During the years I was attending college I was involved in a work study reading program. I helped elementary grade children with their reading. These students had a challenge reading at their grade level.. so I would get them from class and take them to a quiet room which was provided to me where I would read with them & to them. I would also give the children fun pointers that would make reading more interesting to them so that he/she would WANT to practice reading in their free time. I was very successful and enjoyed every interaction and individual experience with each child I taught. An extremely gratifying and fun experience and a treasured memory.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading books to children.. making each story fun and engaging with silly voices to go with each character that's in the story.. I love going outside and playing ball, swinging, and blowing bubbles to name just a few activities I find enjoyable. I find that children love doing all these things as well. I love painting and beading and doing art projects for special occasions. I enjoy songs that get 'em up and moving around like the hokey pokey or head shoulders knees n toes song. I love educational games and quiet time as well. I like playing when we walk by mirrors and singing other songs like " there ain't no mountain high enough" or
" twist again like we did last summer" and TWISTING💃.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is that the child/ children has/have fun while learning something valuable. It's important that we bond and I am known to be trustworthy and honest.. which in turn teaches them to be the same. I think it's necessary for a child to be able to play, explore, and get their hands a little dirty sometimes in discovering the world around them. This allows a child to learn so many things that become valuable learning experiences. So awesome to watch their little faces light up as they are discovering things about their self and the world we live in. I think it's important to lead by example and display love, care and concern. I do my best to teach a moral code and the importance of a safe and clean environment. Kids and pets adore me and I them Every experience is a chance to learn something positive and questions are necessary in order to learn about people, things and situations.

My experience with special needs children...

My Godson is on the spectrum and I have been extremely involved and hands on with him since he was 3 mos old. My BFF got custody of him when she and I were roommates. He's now almost 6 yrs old and he is as much my child as any of my biological children are. He's been a blessing and a joy even though he doesn't speak much, but really loves watching programs in foreign languages. In fact, he was a Spanish cartoon and the man on there tells his wife something about MUCHO MAS! JAXSON picked that up and has never called me Nina, but calls me MAS...( Meaning " More " in Spanish.) So adorable 😍 🥰 we do wooden puzzles and sing songs and he LOVES BEADS!🌸

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was actually filling in for another nanny and my lil guy Ollie, who's BARELY 2 YRS OLD knows what an excavator is whenever he was playing a game on my tablet that my Godson plays that introduces different forms of motorized vehicles.. When the excavator came up he just plain as day says " excavator. " I was so shocked as he went on to naming specifically the Rocket Ship..the helicopter, and Race car. I am Soo amazed by this because many adults don't even know what an excavator looks like.. AMAZING!!
