Teaching children to use their voice, express their needs, and advocate for themselves is a value I hold deeply—because when a child learns how to communicate what they need, they are empowered to thrive in every area of life. I deem this especially valuable because it benefits all children—those with special needs and those without. Pouring into a child’s social and emotional growth instills lifelong attributes that serve as a strong foundation well beyond childhood.

As a former classroom teacher, I’ve worked with children who had IEPs and 504 plans, supporting a range of learning needs including ADHD, processing disorders, and social-emotional challenges. My master’s program in elementary education has further equipped me with research-based strategies for effectively communicating with and teaching children with diverse needs. I’m experienced in providing accommodations, using differentiated instruction, and creating a calm, supportive environment that helps each child thrive both academically and emotionally.
