More About Me
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny, to me, is building trust through strong communication with both parents and children.
Beyond safety and support, I value being someone kids can look up to, a mentor, a role model, and at times like an older sibling.

My experience with special needs children...
While I don’t have extensive formal experience working with children with special needs, I have personal experience with ADHD and an IEP. Because of this, I have a strong understanding of the importance of patience, clear communication, and individualized support.
I’m very empathetic and attentive to each child’s needs, and I’m always willing to learn and adapt to create an environment where they feel supported, understood, and able to thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments is realizing you’re not just caring for kids, but becoming someone they truly trust.
Most of the time, the boys I work with are pretty independent and just want me to drop them off and “disappear” (very on-brand for preteens!). But every once in a while, they’ll ask me to stay a little longer or walk them into something new.
Recently, one of them asked me to walk him into a new basketball practice. We made a simple plan. He’d give me a thumbs up when he felt ready for me to leave. Seeing him look over, smile, and give me that signal once he felt comfortable was such a meaningful moment.
As the oldest of three, it reminded me a lot of taking care of my own siblings. Those moments where kids choose you as part of their support system mean everything to me.

Hi! I'm a recent college graduate who has been traveling and working for the last few months! I am a big outdoorsy person who loves to be in touch with nature, travel, and explore new places while continuing my journey as a life long student. I enjoy yoga, hiking, biking, painting, and being active in all aspects of life. I studied Public Health and Political Science at Tulane University in New Orleans, but I am originally from Arlington, Virginia and now live in St. Michaels with my family. I spent most of my high school years babysitting every week, and my senior year I nannied for my neighbors two kids. I miss being around the joyful spirit of kids and would love to get back to it!
