The most important part about being a nanny...
was when a child came in from playing outside and asked me "How long do I cook this snake in the microwave for the dogs to have a special treat!" It was a small gardener snake that had been snoozing in the sun. His plan was to season it in olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper then put it in a plastic baggie to cook. We came to a compromise, let the snake go and instead bought a treat for the dogs.
